Content Topics include an introduction to the ocean environment; calculating basic wave properties; wave effects, irregular ocean waves; ocean wave measurement and forecasting; basic wave forces on offshore structures, wave forces and wave responses; and other forces on offshore structures.

Advisable prior study: understanding of the basics of algebraic manipulation, trigonometry, integral and differential calculus; basic statistical formula (mean, mode, standard deviation etc.)
