Students are able to read and write Italian with accuracy and fluency; converse in Italian with fluency and accuracy on contemporary themes; read contemporary literature with understanding, and relate literary works to their social and historical context; and demonstrate intercultural understanding. |
| Content |
This unit is the point of entry for students who are native or near-native speakers. They develop proficiency in spoken and written Italian and deepen their understanding of Italian society and culture. The unit leads to ITAL1106 Italian Advanced II. |
| Assessment |
Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit except in the case of a bachelor's pass degree student who has obtained a mark of 45 to 49 and is currently enrolled in this unit, and it is the only remaining unit that the student must pass in order to complete their course. |
