Outcomes Students gain a degree of competency in spoken and written Italian that enables them to be confident and fluent users of the language in most situations they are likely to encounter in everyday life. Through an ongoing exposure to graded oral and written sources, and an analysis of the chosen oral and written materials, students extend their ability to read, understand and respond to standard texts as well as a graded selection taken from contemporary literary sources.
Content This unit follows on from ITAL1103 Italian Intermediate I. It extends the study of written and spoken Italian and of the culture of modern Italy. The unit leads to ITAL2205 Italian Advanced I.
Assessment Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit except in the case of a bachelor's pass degree student who has obtained a mark of 45 to 49 and is currently enrolled in this unit, and it is the only remaining unit that the student must pass in order to complete their course.
