| Content | This unit provides students with an overview of education for Years 11 and 12 in Western Australia and more particularly in society and environment-related courses. The curriculum documents in economics, geography, history and politics are used as a basis for programming and lesson planning, focusing on the development of appropriate learning strategies, selection of resources and the development of assessment programs. Cross-curricular topics such as middle schooling, literacy and numeracy, information technology in the classroom and other relevant issues are also included. | |||
| Assessment | This comprises video analysis and a Year 11/12 portfolio. Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit except in the case of a bachelor's pass degree student or a student enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Education who has obtained a mark of 45 to 49 and is currently enrolled in this unit, and it is the only remaining unit that the student must pass in order to complete their course. | |||
