| Outcomes |
Pre-service teachers are able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the appropriate curriculum documents; plan, implement and discuss creative student-centred learning programs that meet the Visual Arts curriculum guidelines; develop a commitment to high standards of preparation and presentation of learning experiences; and demonstrate collegiality in working with their peers. |
| Content |
This unit provides students with an overview of courses available in Years 11 and 12 in Western Australia and more particularly art-related courses. The relevant curriculum documents are used as a basis for programming and lesson planning, focusing on the development of appropriate learning strategies, selection of resources and the development of assessment programs. |
| Assessment |
This comprises two assignments.
Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit except in the case of a bachelor's pass degree student or a student enrolled in the Graduate Diploma in Education who has obtained a mark of 45 to 49 and is currently enrolled in this unit, and it is the only remaining unit that the student must pass in order to complete their course. |
