Students are exposed to advanced literature in science communication. They are able to access and search the scientific literature, critically read the scientific literature, complete a clear and concise literature review in a particular research field and display their understanding of the research methodology used in the research field. This is a problem-based research project and is assessed by a seminar presentation and a 3000-word assignment based on a thorough literature review. |
| Content |
With guidance, students individually choose a topic in the area of science communication. Students conduct a critical examination and review of the literature. Students access and search the scientific literature, critically read the scientific literature, complete a clear and concise literature review in a particular research field and display their understanding of the research methodology used in the research field. |
| Assessment |
This comprises a seminar presentation and a 3000-word assignment based on a thorough literature review.
Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit. |
