CLAH2291 Greek Art and Architecture [UG]

Content This unit surveys ancient Greek and vase painting from the beginning of the Geometric period to the late fourth century BC, Greek sculpture from the early Archaic period to the middle of the first century BC, Greek architecture of the Archaic and Classic periods and Greek coinage from its beginning until the Hellenistic Age.
Assessment This comprises tutorial performance (10 per cent), a test on technical terms (15 per cent), a 2000- to 2500-word essay (25 per cent) and a two-hour examination (50 per cent).

Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit except in the case of a bachelor's pass degree student who has obtained a mark of 45 to 49 and is currently enrolled in this unit, and it is the only remaining unit that the student must pass in order to complete their course.
