Outcomes Students develop investigative skills in the area of human structure and function.
Content This unit is taken over two successive semesters and parts 1 and 2 must be completed to fulfil the requirements of the unit. Students can commence the unit in either semester 1 or semester 2.

Students learn about the principles and practice of anatomical sciences by conducting an investigation of their own. They search for and interpret literature, design a project that may involve constructing experimental hypotheses or objectives, develop and understand appropriate methodologies, plan and execute experiments, analyse and interpret findings and prepare a dissertation based on their work.
Assessment This may include written reports, examinations and seminars.

Supplementary assessment is not available in this unit.

Prerequisites: enrolment in the Master of Anatomical Sciences and an average mark of at least 60 per cent over the following 4 units: ANHB8404 Project Analysis, ANHB8405 Project Design, ANHB8435 Concepts and Developments in Anatomical Sciences, ANHB8436 Anatomical Sciences Project
Advisable prior study: undergraduate or postgraduate units in anatomical sciences
Incompatibility: ANHB8507 Anatomy and Human Biology Dissertation and ANHB9505 Anatomy and Human Biology Thesis
Contact hours—students attend a series of meetings with their project supervisors and seminars and tutorials as required
